Cathedral Square is Missouri's newest brewery. Based out of Saint Louis, Cathedral Square actually contracts all of it's brewing through the Weston Brewing Company. Weston, which is north of Kansas City, isn't exactly known for putting out quality beers... I've heard the problem exists somewhere in the bottling line. Curious, why would anyone contract brew through a brewery that has such a bad track record? Don't as me, because it doesn't make any sense whatsoever...

Knowing this was brewed in Weston, I knew this beer would be watery and a little... off. That's exactly what I found when I took a drink of this Belgian-Style Abbey Ale. Actually, I don't get much Belgian when I drink this beer... There is just a hint of yeast but mostly all you'll taste is dry malted grain and a little bitterness. This beer is also very thin bodied and quite watery. It seems like this beer got about 60% of the way done and then everything just... fell apart.

I'd suggest avoiding this beer just as much as any of the other beers that come out of Weston. When they clean up their act (pun definitely intended) I'd be willing to give them another chance.
